"You're not a hamster and your life is not a wheel."

Many of my clients today are encountering this issue — they feel their lives are being controlled by outside forces.

GET OFF THE WHEEL!

What do I mean by that? People are being driven by their 'shoulds' — They can't say NO. 

  • They overschedule. Themselves. Their children. 
  • They overvolunteer.
  • They over-socialize.
  • They overpromise. 
  • They over-work.

And guess what happens? It blows up in their face.

They get exhausted, angry, frustrated, stressed-out, sick and then they collapse. What part of this is fun or productive?

My solution: GET OFF THE WHEEL! 

  • Simplify your life. Cut out at least one thing from your schedule.
  • Every time you book something, stop & ask yourself, do I want or need to do this?
  • Resign from one volunteer position.
  • Stay home and order a pizza and rent a movie.
  • Have a "don't drive the car weekend."

If you just take one of these simple suggestions I promise you'll feel

SO MUCH BETTER!

This is great advice! I do it all the time. Try to get it all in! I'm going to let things go one day next week and just enjoy my baby!
